I really like this site. It is a private website, by a cruiser no less, that is excellent at providing country-specific information for pets aboard a crusing sailboat! Can't beat that. The list is quite extensive (but not complete) and provides anecdotal accounts of what they encountered at many countries they have visited. It includes embassy mailing addresses, phone numbers, and web links for a host of countries likely to be visited by the cruising pet, including the Caribbean, the Pacific islands including Australia and New Zealand, and most countries of Europe, North, South, and Central America, and even some in Africa. Regulations for many countries are still pending but this is a good site to check out. As with any website dealing with regulatory information, keeping it current may be an issue, so double check your info.
Although they do charge for some services, this is an excellent website concerned with pet travel in general. You will find (usually up-to-date) information on entrance and quarantine requirements for virtually every country around the world and you may want to check out their 'pet passport' section to easily order some forms (although most of these forms are available for free if you go to the source). Just scroll to the country of choice and click on 'Go.' The information is the 'official' stuff and is not cruiser-specific, but then neither is anybody else's. The website also contains much other useful pet travel information.

This website has a link to what might (charitably) be called 'pet-friendly' airlines. It includes a sizable list of many national and international airline companies. Use the information and fly your pet at your own risk, but here is a great starting point for figuring out how to get your pet home from some remote location. You may also find some other useful pet travel information and other links here.
www.petsonthego.com
A useful website containing a lot of handy pet travel information. You can find import and quarantine requirements here, commercial travel information, a section on international travel. The site looks kind of fluffy, but contains a lot of serious pet travel info.

This webiste is at the top of my list for obvious reasons. If you know what your pet has eaten or are strongly suspicious, you can contact these people (in the U.S. you can call 800-213-6680) for treatment information. Unfortuntately, if you don't have a clue, it's likely that they won't either. There is a fee for this service. Have your credit card ready.
